About Lizzie...

Lizzie (she/her) is an educator, director, and producer based in Philadelphia, originally from Scranton. She is passionate about building communities, ensembles, and programming that inspires students and peers. She has taught and directed in the education department at the Walnut Street Theatre, and serves as an Associate Producer and the Director of Education at the Scranton Shakespeare Festival, where she started off as a student.

As a director, Lizzie is drawn to haunting, ensemble-driven, witty, and immersive texts (not necessarily altogether). She's also had the honor to serve as associate director for directors including Emma Rosa Went and Michael Bradshaw Flynn. As an educator and producer, Lizzie built the Scranton Shakespeare Festival Youth Ensemble high school conservatory program. The Youth Ensemble, a competitive summer performing arts intensive for young artists, has become a coveted ensemble in Northeastern Pennsylvania that hones in on a full-length production, a student-devised showcase, master classes with professional artists in varying niche topics, as well as team-building and portfolio-development for teens.

A lover of Thai food, yoga, cooking and baking, and her cat Hazel, she is also a Halloween and true crime enthusiast. Her favorite book is The Secret History by Donna Tartt and she has watched "10 Things I Hate About You" more times than she's willing to admit.
